Prerequisites

Github

Please make sure that you have an account with admin rights on the repository to be able to edit SECRETS values (Github repository roles)

To work locally with resources from this repository, install Github desktop app on your computer. You can download and install it by visiting Github website and following the provided instructions.

It is also strongly recommended to get fundational knowledge in using source control tools and ideally with Github. If you are interested to learn more please use this link.

AWS

Please make sure to have AWS account or access to resources allowing to setup AWS resources required for this services. AWS services to be used are:

Identity and Access Management (IAM)
Elastic Container Registry (ECR)
Elastic Container Service (ECS)

It is also strongly recommended to get fundational knowledge on AWS Service listed above. If you are interested to learn more please use this link.

Local use

To be able to run this example, you will need to have following tools installed:

Install Conda: please install Conda on your computer. You can download and install it by following the instructions provided on the Conda website.

Install Docker Desktop on your computer. You can download and install it by following the instructions provided on the Docker Desktop website.

Install Jupyter Notebook on your computer following the instructions provided on the Jupyter website.

This package has been tested on Python 3.10.12.

Earthdaily Authentication

Even if the Reflectance Datacube Processor is free and available to everybody, data extraction from EarthDataStore requires valid EarthPlatform credentials. If you would like to try and need an account, please contact our sales team: contact us and we will be pleased to guide you through the steps.

Users will have to comply with Earthdaily EULA.
